Information Controller at Fortifikationsverket

Fortifikationsverket is looking for an information controller for the information management unit. Are you passionate about information management and want to work at an authority with a long history and an important role in building the total defense? Read on to see if you are the one we need!

Fortifikationsverket is a government agency and one of Sweden's largest property owners. Our mission is to ensure that there are secure properties to protect Sweden in the event of a crisis or war. We own critical buildings and bunkers, properties in garrison areas, airfields, and naval bases. We have a long history dating back to 1635 when the Fortification was established. This means that Fortifikationsverket's property portfolio is unique and consists of new high-tech properties as well as very old and culturally protected buildings and facilities.

Do you want to be an important cog in modernizing the information management at Fortifikationsverket? The Development and Operational Support Department consists of nine units and approximately 200 employees. Within the department, several important support units are housed, and this is where the agency's important development work takes place.

The information management unit consists of three groups with a total of 24 employees, and we are responsible for the agency's diary, archives, as well as support for investment projects and renovations, and the process Manage Information. This means that the unit directs, coordinates, and follows up on these areas. Our mission includes ensuring that the rest of the organization receives the materials they need in a timely manner and with high quality, as well as providing the public with answers to their questions about the disclosure of public documents. We handle a lot of security-classified information. We are responsible for the diary system Platina and the in-house developed registry system SÖRen.

In the new role as an information controller, you will have an independent role where you will work with:

  • Collaboration at a strategic level with IT architects regarding information governance issues and the information management plan.
  • Acting as a process coordinator for the Manage Information process.
  • As a controller, leading the work to ensure compliance with regulations in the information management area.
  • Supporting and relieving the group manager and the team within the registry.
  • Coordinating and contributing to training the organization on issues related to information management, as well as public access and confidentiality.
  • Being responsible for the case list to the Chancellor of Justice.
  • Coordinating and developing the work of inventorying security-classified documents.
  • Continuity planning for the unit's areas of responsibility.

You will belong to the registry group but assist the entire unit regarding process development and the creation of governing documents.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in a relevant field such as information science, archival science, systems science, or equivalent. If you have a degree, we view that positively.
  • Experience working with information management at a strategic level, for example with information structure, preferably within the public sector.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
  • High administrative ability.
  • A valid driver's license, class B is required.

It is meritorious if you have experience/competence in the following:

  • Information architecture.
  • Establishing and managing information/document management plans.
  • Working with frameworks and standards for information management and architecture.
  • Registrar competence.
  • Previous experience analyzing and structuring complex information.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience driving change initiatives.

Your personal qualities are very important to us, and we will place great emphasis on personal suitability, where an important part is that you are security-conscious. Your collaborative skills are important, and we are looking for someone who has both a holistic perspective and the ability to delve into details. You are unpretentious and have an easy time building good relationships while also being able to stand up for your opinion and drive important issues clearly. You are structured and organize yourself to complete tasks and meet deadlines. We are looking for someone who is listened to and earns the trust of others.
