Workplace
Flens Municipality is located in the heart of Sörmland, within a reasonable commuting distance from the metropolitan region of Stockholm. Flens main library is located in the center of Flen, about a 5-minute walk from the train station. Flens Municipality has one main library, three branches, and a mobile library. The library also manages the municipal school libraries.
The unit currently has a total of nine employees and a library manager.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for two dedicated public and school librarians who, together with our current strong and competent group, want and can take on the task of continuing the development journey that our libraries are on, while also working to protect and fulfill the core mission with good and relevant activities. We are a dynamic group that, with heart, energy, and professionalism, shapes the libraries of the future. Our goal is to provide our residents with as rich a democratic, cultural, and knowledge-based life as possible.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Degree in Library and Information Science, or similar higher education, preferably with a pedagogical focus, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- Familiarity with the Library Act and relevant parts of the Education Act.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
- Driver's license (B) is required.
Meritorious
- Experience in pedagogical work
- Experience working with mobile libraries
- Experience with Book-It
- Experience in media and information literacy and promoting reading
- Experience in the school library field
- Experience working with multilingualism
- Knowledge of digital technology
- Good knowledge of a language other than Swedish and English
