IES Landskrona is looking for a Mathematics Teacher for grades 7-9

IES Landskrona opened its doors in 2017 and is a school for grades F-9. Our school hosts nearly 600 students and around 70 staff members daily. We are a bilingual school, English-Swedish, following the Swedish curriculum. Working at our school means being part of a professional community and collaboration. The position is a permanent full-time employment starting on 2025-08-05. A probationary period applies for the first 6 months.

About us and the position:

At the Internationella Engelska Skolan in Landskrona, we work to create an inspiring and engaging learning environment where students develop both their mathematical skills and their self-confidence.

We are now looking for a dedicated mathematics teacher for grades 7-9 who wants to motivate and challenge students in their learning. Together with your colleagues, you will plan and implement teaching that sparks curiosity, develops problem-solving skills, and creates a deeper understanding of the role of mathematics in everyday life. You will be an important part of our team and contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement inspiring educational activities according to LGR22.
• Develop a positive learning environment where all students feel seen and heard.
• Collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and others to ensure students' overall development.
• Document and follow up on students' individual learning processes.
• Teach in both Swedish and English.
• Mentorship for 16 students.

Who are we looking for?

You are:

• A qualified teacher with certification for mathematics in grades 7-9.
• Pedagogical and creative in your work with students.
• Empathetic and responsive to students' individual needs and development.
• Committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to grow.
• Experienced in working with pedagogical documentation.
• Have excellent knowledge of the curriculum.
• Have straightforward and humble communication and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

At our school, a conducive study environment is important, which is why you need to be confident in your teaching role and have the ability to create a good working climate in our student groups. You need to be a team player, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy working with people in an international school environment. You should have good communication and collaboration skills with students and colleagues, and a desire to help develop our school. Our digital platforms are Google and SchoolSoft.
