Your Role

Business Unit Gripen is looking for driven strategic buyers with experience in negotiations in international environments who are passionate about business.

Our department needs to complement with experienced and driven strategic buyers. You will play an important role where you will have the opportunity to work on unique, challenging, and interesting sourcing assignments in international environments at a growing company.

Strategic Sourcing within Business Unit Gripen is responsible for the commercial, strategic part of sourcing for our manufacturing in Sweden and Brazil. Our responsibility includes creating commercial conditions for material supply primarily to Gripen. Our employees collaborate within supplier teams and have a close and direct dialogue with production.

As a strategic buyer with us, you will be responsible for a number of suppliers where your experience and business acumen, along with your drive and structured approach, will be put to good use. You will lead various supplier teams with participants from different departments, where you together evaluate and ensure that suppliers develop in the right direction regarding cost, lead time, quality, and delivery precision.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Negotiate new agreements, further develop and ensure compliance with supplier agreements in accordance with customer and business needs
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies
• Secure and work towards the department's goals and KPIs
• Develop relationships with new and existing suppliers

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in strategic sourcing and who is communicative and has excellent collaboration skills. We believe that you as a person are innovative and solution-oriented and thrive in a role where you can work independently as well as in a team. You lead yourself and others towards results and goals with your knowledge and positive attitude. You are structured and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Economic or technical degree from a university or college or equivalent academic education
• Several years of experience in strategic sourcing
• Experience in independently leading various types of supplier negotiations and formulating framework and price agreements
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
