The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, and adapted school from preschool class up to grade 9. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute, you will work either in preschool, primary school (grades F-9), after-school care, or adapted primary school (grades F-9).

In preschool, you will work as a substitute in a team with other educators in the operation. Through play and educational activities, you will work to promote children's development and learning. Your and the preschool's goal is to create an environment that challenges, attracts, and thus lays a foundation for learning for all children. In preschool, you are tasked with being a good role model and supporting and guiding the children during their time there.

As a substitute in primary school, you will support our regular teachers during their absence, teach various subjects, and contribute to a safe and inspiring learning environment. Your work will contribute to our students' success and well-being. It is important that you find it motivating to teach and that you can engage students in a pedagogical way. After school hours, you can also work in after-school care where you, together with your colleagues, carry out activities with the students to create a meaningful leisure time after school.

In adapted primary school, you will assist students in need of special support as a substitute. You may work with a specific student, sometimes with a group of students, or with the entire class. You will guide students in their studies, provide support in the classroom as well as on excursions. It is important that you find it motivating to teach and that you can engage students in a pedagogical way. The assignment also involves care work where you handle, among other things, technical aids and hygiene tasks as needed.

Regardless of which operation you want to work in, you are tasked with being a good role model and supporting and guiding the children/students during their days. You will enter the times and days you can work in our booking system and will then receive bookings via SMS.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has pedagogical skills and a great interest in working with children and young people. You see a good attitude as a given and are attentive to the needs and wishes of others and meet these with respect. You find it easy to build relationships and take great responsibility based on your assignment as a substitute.

Since we work with people, it is important that our communication works in all operations. Therefore, we require that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech, understanding, and writing. To have the opportunity to substitute with us, you must be at least 18 years old. As a substitute, you may receive bookings as late as 45 minutes before the start of the work shift, which requires that you live in Alingsås municipality or nearby.

It is an advantage if you have education and/or experience in the field, or have leadership experience through community work or similar. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
