DevOps Engineer

About the Job

You will work with our internal and external integrations - both in-house developed microservices and purchased integration solutions, such as IIPAX and Gravitee. The in-house developed microservices are built by the team in Java and run on our own container platform based on Kubernetes/Rancher. We use ActiveMQ Artemis for message queuing.

The team consists of 4 developers and 4 DevOps engineers, a Scrum Master, and a Product Owner. You will work as a DevOps Engineer where configuration management and automation are done with Puppet, Helm, Bash, and Python. We use Jenkins for CI/CD while monitoring and alerts are set up with Elastic Stack, Grafana, and Prometheus.

Together with the rest of the team, you will be responsible for the integration services and assist other teams that depend on integration between different systems.

Knowledge sharing and your development are important, and we strive to help each other become both broader and sharper.

Performance, availability, and security are central - we handle large volumes of important information for our common pension system! The demands are also increasing now as the Swedish Pensions Agency develops new systems that depend on integration services - and you are a crucial prerequisite for us to meet these demands.

We work agile with SAFe as a framework, 2-week sprints, and interval planning every 10 weeks. The team is self-sufficient and actively collaborates with other teams that use the integration services - you will therefore have a lot of contact with others within the IT department!

Your Profile

For this role, you need to have a very good ability to collaborate, both within and outside the team. You are expected to be curious and eager to learn new things, have good problem-solving skills, and be able to take responsibility and initiative.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree in IT or a relevant vocational education, or equivalent competence that the employer assesses as equivalent
• at least 3 years of current work experience as a DevOps Engineer
• at least 3 years of current experience in configuration management, scripting, and troubleshooting on Linux
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Current experience with any integration solution, such as ActiveMQ Artemis or Kafka
• Knowledge or experience with API gateways (e.g., Gravitee) and/or integration engines (e.g., IIPAX)
• Experience with Kubernetes, especially in Rancher (preferably private cloud)
• Current experience in configuration management or automation, e.g., with Puppet, Helm, Bash, or Python
• Practical experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD
• Knowledge or experience in certificate management
