JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a position for you with a strong interest in patient safety and organizational development while also wanting the opportunity for clinical work, in a role with great breadth and a lot of personal responsibility.

As a Patient Safety Coordinator, you will work on operational development of patient safety by conveying information from the patient safety organization to the operations, participating in and conducting training, and being our operations' contact person for patient safety issues. Your tasks also include handling complaints, deviations in our deviation management system, preparing various documents, and following up on the development of patient safety over time. In the event of serious incidents, you will follow up on outcomes. You will take the initiative for work on incident analysis, risk analyses, and become involved in training operational analysis leaders. Additionally, various development projects may occur at a cross-functional level where you are expected to contribute your expertise.

As a Patient Safety Coordinator, you will work closely with the Chief Physician, Chief Nurse, and other staff functions to jointly ensure the quality of the systematic patient safety work. We strive to maintain close contact with the operations we work with to create understanding of the work we conduct and communicate patient safety in various forums, including on our website. You will also represent the administration in various working groups regarding patient safety in both regional and national forums.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must have a relevant university degree in healthcare, with a license and authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. A prerequisite for the position is that you have previous clinical experience in patient-related work. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are also required.

Since the majority of the work is done digitally, you need to have very good computer skills; additionally, we see it as advantageous if you have knowledge of relevant IT systems. It is also meritorious if you have worked with deviation management and have practical or theoretical knowledge in patient safety work. Likewise, it is an advantage if you have an interest in and familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations regarding patient safety, care injuries, and complaints.

To succeed in the role, we believe you are analytical, attentive, and work with a holistic perspective. You find it easy to build relationships, both internally within the organization's various operations and externally. As a Patient Safety Coordinator, you will often need to convey messages and information to various stakeholders, so it is important that you have a very good ability to communicate both in writing and verbally. You also need to be able to structure, prioritize, and plan your work independently and under your own responsibility. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
