The Urology Department (VO) consists of two wards in Malmö, a clinic primarily operating in Malmö, and an admission clinic in Malmö. The wards have 18 + 17 beds from Monday to Friday and 16 + 14 beds from Saturday to Sunday. The focus is on highly specialized urological care with all types of surgeries in the urinary tract. We utilize surgical techniques that result in both short and longer hospital stays and high patient turnover, creating a dynamic workplace. Staff members work with different diagnosis groups in six-month periods and then rotate to maintain their skills. At our Admission Clinic, our two surgical coordinators work similarly to ensure understanding of the entire operation. We maintain a constant patient focus, which in turn leads to consistently excellent results in our patient evaluations. Within the Urology Department, you have the opportunity to grow and thrive!

In September, we will move into new facilities at the New Hospital Area in Malmö (NSM). This allows us to provide care in state-of-the-art facilities with a human focus and create a working environment with good conditions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome an operations coordinator to the admission clinic in Malmö.

As an operations coordinator, you and your colleague will be responsible for planning elective patients for day surgery and inpatient surgeries. This includes everything from quick surgeries within a week to long-term planning with several specialized doctors. You will also be responsible for planning our radiology patients who need monitoring and collaborate with the Hospital in Landskrona and their surgical unit. The work requires close cooperation with responsible managers, doctors, surgical departments, wards, and the clinic. You will be responsible for maintaining contact with the patients who are to be operated on and providing them with necessary information. Additionally, you will have a significant amount of email and phone contact with both patients and colleagues at the hospital. Contact will also occur with private clinics and hospitals, primarily due to patient coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. If you have post-secondary education such as health and medical care administration (KY 80p/YH400p)/medical secretary training, this is also considered an asset. It is also advantageous if you are a nursing assistant. You have excellent language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Furthermore, we want you to have knowledge and experience with Melior and Orbit. Several years of experience in highly specialized care is also seen as an asset. Previous experience in surgical planning and work experience in urology is also considered advantageous.

As a person, you are attentive, service-oriented, and have an easy time working collaboratively with other staff members. You do not see obstacles in being able to reprioritize and solve problems that arise. You are also comfortable working independently. We are looking for a motivated and responsible team member who can easily adapt to new conditions. You are calm, structured, and have the ability to make quick decisions.
