Transport Planner Needed for Summer Assignment

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a transport planner on behalf of our client for an assignment over the summer months. Our client operates a larger warehouse and as a transport planner, you will be part of a team of five responsible for the daily management of the warehouse's transports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Monitor cargo quantities at loading areas and in the system to ensure that capacity exists for the delivery of transported goods.
• Receive and direct drivers to the correct loading area.
• Manage traffic in the area and inform production planning of the need for loading and unloading personnel.
• Communicate with the respective department responsible for ensuring goods are delivered to the customer regarding: Choice of transport method, available capacity & necessary documentation.
• Document and inform transport operations about goods located at the various loading areas.
• Ongoing documentation and communication with suppliers, carriers, and internally within the organization.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has work experience as a professional driver where you have driven heavy trucks.
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English at an advanced level.

It is meritorious if you:

• Have education or experience in a similar role as a transport planner/leader.
• Are a student in post-secondary education and could be available for hours even after the summer.

Other info:

• Working hours: Weekdays, daytime 7:45 AM - 5 PM.
• Scope: Full-time during June-August.
