Medical Secretary Wanted for Eye Care Department

The Eye Care Department provides urgent and planned ophthalmic care with outpatient and surgical services as well as vision rehabilitation. At the eye clinic in Hudiksvall, we conduct both outpatient and surgical operations, as well as outpatient services in Bollnäs. We have about 50 employees from various professional backgrounds, including doctors, ophthalmic nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. Together, we handle large patient flows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary with us, you will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and patient-focused environment with varied and diverse tasks. You will be an important team member, and by relieving doctors and nurses of administrative tasks, you will play a key role in ensuring that everything runs smoothly. We are currently implementing some changes in our operations where medical secretaries will take over administrative tasks from licensed healthcare personnel. This means you will have a broader role with more exciting responsibilities.

As a medical secretary, you will work with:

• patient documentation and registration
• diagnosis and procedure coding
• handling of mail and referrals, as well as preparation for scanning
• booking/canceling patient appointments via phone.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and can make your own decisions and independently drive your work forward. In the role of medical secretary, you should be:

• a trained medical secretary.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have completed DRG training.
