Workplace Description
Are you ready for a bigger task? We are now looking for several camera operators for the surveillance center. With us, you will develop and gain lifelong experiences together with engaged and driven colleagues, while your work contributes to increasing safety and reducing crime in Sweden.
The section for surveillance and analysis is part of the Regional Investigation Unit (RUE) and consists of several groups. In addition to three groups within the Surveillance Center, there is also the camera technology group, the UAS group (drones), and three image analysis groups. The section works with surveillance and analysis of camera material for the entire region. The Surveillance Center is located in Kungsholmen in new, fresh premises with the latest technology.
Surveillance is a rapidly growing and important part of the Police Authority. As a camera operator, you will have the opportunity to contribute to an important societal mission in a dynamic workplace characterized by operational and methodological development. Tasks and assignments are continuously evolving, and as a camera operator, you are expected to contribute with ongoing improvement suggestions.
Job Description
At the surveillance center, work is conducted in shifts around the clock throughout the year. Here, you will work operationally, directly in interventions with external personnel via radio and telephone, right in the center of events. Furthermore, you are responsible for real-time monitoring of various areas and providing situational awareness to the Regional Command Center and local police areas in their operational work, as well as in their surveillance and investigation work in the region.

Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Completed high school diploma or extensive work experience that the employer deems relevant.
- Education and/or work experience in areas such as image and film management, camera surveillance, or technology that the employer deems relevant.
- Experience working with computers as a tool, as well as the ability to handle various systems/programs simultaneously.
- Normal vision with or without corrective lenses and normal color vision (will be tested).
- Good local knowledge of Stockholm (will be tested).
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
- Swedish citizenship.
We consider it an advantage if you also have:
- Swedish Police Examination.
- Post-secondary education that the employer finds relevant.
- Experience with various surveillance systems that handle images and films.
- Investigation experience from public operations, and/or good knowledge of police preliminary investigations.
- Experience in relevant adjacent areas within the Police Authority (e.g., police contact center, image expedition, etc.).
- Experience in service work with associated customer contact that the employer finds relevant.
- Experience working shifts or night shifts.

Employment Type: Permanent employment with a probationary period of six months

The starting salary for this position is 32,000 SEK/month. The Police Authority applies individual salary setting.
