JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a new colleague for our fantastic preschool! Our preschool is located on Brännö, in Gothenburg's southern archipelago, with the beach within walking distance. The beautiful surroundings give children the opportunity to play, learn, and explore in nature. We see nature as an extension of our learning, where children have the opportunity to develop through play and adventure.

We value a collective mindset and have built an organization where we work together on several situations and routines. Collaboration and communication are central to everything we do, allowing us to schedule both joint and individual planning time to ensure the quality of our operations.

The importance of play is a central part of our pedagogical work. We believe that play is children's way of understanding and processing the world. Therefore, we create conditions for a creative and stimulating play environment. Through play, children have the opportunity to develop both social and cognitive skills, as well as express their thoughts and feelings. We also actively work with Adventure Pedagogy, where children experience and learn through various adventures in nature. This approach promotes children's ability to take initiative, collaborate, and solve problems in practical situations.

With us, you will be part of a dedicated and diverse staff group consisting of experienced and committed preschool teachers and childcare workers. Continuing education and networking within the city for skill exchange occur regularly. We are currently working on developing both our outdoor and indoor environments based on children's needs, a work you will be involved in.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an educated and licensed preschool teacher.

You have the ability to create good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians and have a professional approach to your work. You create conditions for learning and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You listen to others to understand their needs and take responsibility for both your own and the shared tasks.

If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will receive a mentor upon your employment. The mentor is part of a central group and is tasked with helping you get a good start in your professional life with us.
