We at Vindex are now looking for a Financial Controller for our client. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team while having overall responsibility for accounting and financial reporting. We are looking for someone with solid experience in the field who thrives in a dynamic environment where you can work both operationally and strategically.

About the role

As a Financial Controller, you will lead a team of three people and be responsible for the financial management of the company's operations. You will ensure that the financial information is accurate, complete, and in accordance with applicable accounting and tax regulations. The role also involves close collaboration with business control and tax to optimize the revenue recognition structure.

The assignment begins as a temp-to-perm recruitment, with the possibility of permanent employment with the client for the right person and under the right conditions. We hope that the right person can start the assignment within three months or as agreed.

Location: Stockholm

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for accounting in the company's operations and subsidiaries
• Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements are completed on time and with high quality
• Management of revenue recognition in accordance with both internal and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with tax and business control to ensure a correct revenue recognition structure
• Responsible for internal controls within the order-to-cash process and monthly reconciliations
• Ensure that annual reports and tax returns are prepared and submitted on time
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and that necessary audit trails and reconciliations are conducted
• Contact with external auditors and provide documentation
• Ensure correct handling of VAT and taxes
• Customer invoicing and collaboration with project managers and Treasury
• Provide support regarding the ERP system and onboarding for employees within the business
• Drive improvement initiatives within accounting and reporting
• Handle ad hoc-related financial issues

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics or equivalent in finance, accounting, or a related field
• At least 6 years of experience as a Financial Controller
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience working in financial systems and good knowledge of Excel
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience with personnel responsibility and leading and developing teams
