We are now looking for a chef in Fjällbacka, are you our new colleague?

GS Meals is responsible for cooking for care and nursing homes and food distribution to individual households as well as to preschools and schools. The operation consists of 230 employees divided into 80 kitchens within Kristianstad Municipality.

Our 80 kitchens together prepare about 14,000 lunch portions every day. We take pride in our profession and our craft. By using more organic products, adapting menus to the seasons, increasing the proportion of vegetables, and reducing waste, we work towards a more sustainable society. We have 69 KRAV-certified kitchens in preschools, schools, and nursing homes, and we are working to become more. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a chef, you will work with qualified cooking. The job also includes safely preparing and handling special diets and menus for our guests with specific dietary needs. You will plan, organize, and lead the daily work in the kitchen with your colleagues. Furthermore, traditional tasks that occur in kitchens such as self-control, ordering, invoice management, dishwashing, cleaning, etc. are included.

Our guests are within elderly care. You will have daily contact with care staff and guests and are expected to be a good ambassador for GS Meals' operations. You will work weekdays and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with approved grades from a restaurant and food program with a kitchen focus or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working in production kitchens and knowledge of and experience with special diet cooking. We also want you to have good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control. You also need experience with ordering and invoice management.

As communication is part of the job, you can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. We want you to have good computer skills, and knowledge and experience with dietary software is an advantage.

Your personal qualities are important, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, attentive, and has an easy time collaborating. You are solution-focused, positive, driven, and engaged. Being able to contribute that little extra to both colleagues and guests is important to you.

The Municipal Executive Office leads, coordinates, follows up, and develops the municipality's operations from a holistic perspective. Here, there are operations such as finance, HR, IT, citizen center, and strategic issues as well as all common services with cleaning, meal, and transport operations in the administration. The work of the Municipal Executive Office should contribute to a positive development for everyone living, working, running businesses, studying, or visiting our municipality. The Municipal Council provides the framework and directives.
