Vårdcentralen Gripen is centrally located in Karlstad, just a stone's throw from the Klarälven river, Värmland Museum, and the beautiful museum park.

Gripen is Värmland's largest health center with over 19,000 registered patients and nearly 60 employees. Thanks to everyone's contributions with their expertise and the willingness to do a good job, the health center is experienced as a pleasant and welcoming workplace.

At the health center, there is a well-functioning counseling service with curators and psychologists. We have a fully staffed nursing group with district nurses, psychiatric nurses, and nurses with special competencies in areas such as asthma-COPD, dementia, and diabetes. The medical team consists of a total of 12 doctors, 4 specialists, and 9 resident doctors. Two of our resident doctors are already specialists in surgery, and several others are soon to be finished specialists in general medicine.

At Gripen, there are also foot care therapists, nursing assistants, and medical administrators who work both independently and together with others in teams. We have an ongoing collaboration with Karlstad Municipality, which means we have assessors on-site, and we also have pharmacists who assist with medication reviews before visits.

As a district nurse at the health center, there is an opportunity to have a shared position at the emergency center, which means you can also work evenings and weekends. We are now looking for a district nurse as one of the team members is going on parental leave and another is reducing hours in preparation for retirement.

Your Responsibilities

Examples of tasks for you as a district nurse include telephone counseling, your own patient clinic, and alternating staffing our emergency clinic for patients who need urgent appointments. We work with nurse-led clinics according to the best effective care level (BEON), where you as a district nurse will develop in your profession.

All employees at the health center are divided into teams, and the district nurse has a central role there. We actively work to find flexible solutions, develop our operations with high quality and good accessibility. As a district nurse at Vårdcentralen Gripen, you will be able to influence your work week based on a defined assignment.

Your Skills/Competencies

We are looking for you who are a trained district nurse, and it is advantageous if you have training or experience working with heart failure. If you also have training in or experience working with diabetes, asthma/COPD, hypertension, or dementia, it is a plus.
