The surgical and gastroenterology department at Skåne University Hospital includes surgical and gastroenterological activities in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical activities in Landskrona. We provide specialized and highly specialized care.

Surgery Ward 9 in Malmö is an elective ward that cares for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the intestines. The ward has 20 beds, and we work in teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and the rehabilitation group.

We strive to work evidence-based and with person-centered care. The staff actively works in various groups to develop and drive the operations forward.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you will work with preoperative preparations and postoperative care of patients who have undergone colorectal surgery. Stoma care is an important part of the treatment. You will also work with advanced pain management and be responsible for medical treatment. Those working in the pain area come several times a week to follow up on pain management. The ERACS standard care plan is applied for safe and good care of our patients, facilitating the development of your clinical eye and documentation.

We offer a comprehensive introduction program that we regularly follow up on to ensure you feel secure when you start working independently with your patients. Additionally, we have internal lectures within the organization that we plan together with our employees. You have the opportunity to plan your schedule yourself as we use TimeCare, allowing you to plan your clinical basic year from the start if you are newly graduated.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a positive and attentive nurse. Your work is characterized by a strong sense of responsibility and flexibility. Furthermore, we wish for you to be structured, reliable, and meticulous. You see challenges as opportunities, enjoy collaborating, and always prioritize the patient's best interests.

Regarding formal qualifications, you are a licensed nurse authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is a requirement.
