About the School

Vikingaskolan is a school located in central Haninge, close to green areas, cultural offerings, and public transport. This autumn, the school is growing, and we will have over 700 students. The school offers school and leisure activities from preschool class to grade 3 and educational activities for students in grades 4-6, as well as club activities in the afternoons. Each grade is divided into teams responsible for their students.

At Vikingaskolan, we set high but reasonable expectations for all students and assume that all students do right if they can.

Your Mission

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons in physical education. Together with your colleagues, you will design a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with a focus on student learning. You will be a mentor and part of a team with colleagues where close collaboration and cooperation are essential parts of the mission.

Qualifications

You should have a degree in physical education with teaching certification. We would also like you to have qualifications in a theoretical subject. It is an advantage if you have experience as a mentor. You have the ability to create good and secure relationships with students and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents. You are a clear leader who can easily build trusting relationships with students while also being able to set clear boundaries, show warmth, be flexible, and have great confidence in all students' ability to develop.

You can use varying methods and approaches based on students' needs and knowledge levels, set high but reasonable expectations for students, engage them, and create the best conditions for each individual student.

You should find it easy to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You should be flexible, solution-focused, have the ability to see what is best for the entire operation, and find it easy to collaborate and recognize the value of collegial cooperation and learning.
