Dialysis is an exciting area that is constantly evolving, where the interplay between medical technology and nursing plays a significant role. With us, chronically ill kidney patients regularly receive their hemodialysis treatment. We also accept patients with acute kidney failure. To provide the best possible care to our patients, we have close collaboration between nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, biomedical engineers, and paramedics. Currently, we have about 65 employees.

The unit is characterized by a leadership that aims to help each other succeed and grow. We value trust and empathy, which are important parts of our leadership. Most of our patients return over a long period. This means that we create long-lasting relationships focused on helping them achieve the highest possible quality of life by tailoring dialysis treatment to the individual's needs. Therefore, we are increasingly working towards person-centered care and involving patients in their own treatment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a new colleague to our Dialysis Unit in Lund!

As a nurse, you will work with dialysis care, where your tasks include nursing, medical care, and teaching dialysis patients. You will have a special nursing responsibility for certain patients regarding their long-term planning and treatment. In the role of a nurse with us, you are part of an engaged team that enjoys working together while striving for the best for our patients. We focus heavily on ensuring that patients feel involved and engaged in their treatments. In our mission as a university hospital, there is an opportunity to participate in research projects and teaching students and patients.

Region Skåne invests in increased professional development for nurses. For those without prior experience in dialysis, we offer eight to twelve weeks of tailored shadowing. You will also receive help and support from our education-responsible nurses. For newly graduated nurses, there is a Clinical Foundation Year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. For nurses who wish to specialize, we offer educational benefits in prioritized areas and a number of searchable educational positions where education is combined with clinical work over two years.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays from 07:00 to 15:00 and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 13:00 to 21:00. On Saturdays from 07:00 to 15:00 and Sundays from 12:00 to 20:00. There is a great opportunity for individual tailored schedules via Timecare.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome newly graduated as well as experienced licensed nurses authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. The position requires that you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Furthermore, we would like you to have a strong interest in developing within the field of dialysis.

To thrive with us, you should be positive and collaborative. You have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Additionally, you are focused on the operation and want to help drive our work forward. Furthermore, we believe you are curious, responsible, and like to stay updated on developments within our field. We want you to have a good ability to take responsibility and work independently when the work situation requires it. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
