Network Architect at the Swedish Public Employment Service

Data Center and Communication Section
We are 14 people responsible for the authority's network, data centers, WAN/LAN communication. We work with both development and operations in the area and have high demands for availability and stability of our technical components. Our section belongs to the IT infrastructure unit, which also manages servers, containers, AD, databases, email, and storage/backup; together we create the Swedish Public Employment Service's IT infrastructure.
Job Description
You will be part of one of our design teams that works cross-functionally within the IT infrastructure unit, where we together assist our application teams. The design team consists of other architects within the unit as well as our domain architect. You will be responsible for the design of networks, WAN/LAN, data centers, and the associated hardware. You will drive technical requirements and meet with our suppliers, as well as collaborate internally with other architects, team leads, and component owners. You will act as expert support for implementation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement related to data centers and networks.
The position requires you to have a strong understanding of business needs and the ability to translate these into technical solutions with cost awareness.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The location is Solna.

Basic Requirements for the Position
- At least 5 years of current experience as a solution architect or similar role within IT and data center solutions in large organizations
- At least 5 years of current experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure and data center solutions
- Familiar with technologies such as Cisco, preferably CISCO ACI, WAN/LAN, Kubernetes, virtualization servers, and similar
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Other Qualifications for the Position
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent
- Experience with automation and orchestration of IT infrastructure to pursue cloud services
- Experience with Agile methodologies
