Project Controller for MAXIMA

VA SYD is planning one of southern Sweden's largest infrastructure investments of our time – MAXIMA, a wastewater treatment system for several municipalities. This job involves MAXIMA, which includes a new and robust Sjölunda wastewater treatment plant with new outfall pipelines in Öresund, a large pumping station, a wastewater tunnel under Malmö, a wastewater tunnel from Källby to Sjölunda, and transfer pipelines to connect several municipalities. We are now looking for a project controller for a permanent position to work on the New Sjölunda project. All employees in the New Sjölunda project organization aim to ensure that the operations organization and our partner, the collaborative contractor, have as smooth a journey as possible. If the joint project organization does well, MAXIMA does well.

As a project controller, your tasks will include:

• Quality-assuring financial management and acting as a support and advisor in financial matters for project managers and other functions within the project and collaborative organization.
• Establishing and implementing guidelines and routines for planning, monitoring, and reporting on the project's finances.
• Leading the work on forecasts and financial analyses and preparing final cost forecasts in relation to allocated funds.
• Continuously updating final cost forecasts, liquidity plans, and investment plans.
• Index calculations and index development.
• Preparing and presenting financial reports for the project and program.
• Supporting project management for contracts and other agreements within the project.
• Providing financial data for decision-making ahead of political decisions, including data for credit interest calculations.
• Leading the work on component depreciation, asset and building inventories before activation and rate calculations.

Who are you?

You are a good communicator and have a strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

Your experience

You who are applying have:

• A degree in business administration or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
• At least 10 years of experience in the finance area, of which at least 5 years as a project controller
• Experience from large projects or programs, preferably within community building or the construction industry.
• Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, with a focus on Excel
• Good experience working in business systems and project management systems
• Experience with collaborative contracts is an advantage
• Knowledge of contract law is a plus
