Your Responsibilities

As a primary school teacher in Leksand municipality, and at Ullvi School, you will work pedagogically and socially according to the goals and guidelines of the organization and applicable governing documents. A major focus for Leksand municipality's school activities now and in the future is the development of students' language, reading, and writing skills, which are integrated with the current curriculum that you are well acquainted with. You will be responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching and work to promote students' learning and development.

You will work as a teacher in grades 3-4. Your responsibilities include collaboration with colleagues as well as communication with students, guardians, and other stakeholders. You will participate, together with your colleagues, in projects aimed at developing teaching and increasing students' goal fulfillment.

Your Profile

• We are looking for a certified primary school teacher for ages 1-6 with authorization to teach in grades 3 and 4.
• Practical experience in teaching is an advantage.

As a person, you are flexible and used to independently planning your work, you are solution-oriented and have a good ability to see situations from a holistic perspective. You are also clear, confident, and creative and have the ability to inspire our students. You enjoy collaborating in a team and sharing your experiences for collegial learning that contributes to development at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developing, and stimulating learning environment for the students.

About the Workplace

Ullvi School is a village school where we teach in B-form. The classes are divided into grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6. Some lessons are conducted in their B-forms, while others are in half classes within their grade. At the school, we have well-established annual cycles based on our various teams and professions. Since the school is small, it works well to collaborate between our different classes with activities such as buddy reading and other security-creating activities.

The staff at Ullvi has actively worked over time with language-developing teaching, supportive learning environments, and observing each other's teaching. We have equity in our different classrooms and in the pedagogical structures we have developed over time, aiming to make it easy for our students to change classes and ensure that transitions are not too large for our students.
