We are a cheerful team consisting of about 20 nurses with different specialties and experiences, creating a unique breadth in the workplace. At our workplace, we care about each other's work environment and work according to Region Skåne's values: welcoming, driving, caring, and respect. The office in Kristianstad, where you will be placed, is located in the Björkhems area. Here, there is a calm and pleasant environment with the opportunity to work in groups or in single rooms. In Malmö, there are 2 units, and we have a total of 90 nurses, 1 doctor, and 2 administrators.

1177 on the phone is a national service that operates around the clock in all regions of Sweden. We primarily serve citizens in Skåne but also answer calls from other regions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will work in a helpful and supportive team, where everyone has different backgrounds and competencies. As a nurse, you will primarily work with telephone counseling, make qualified medical assessments, provide self-care advice, and refer callers to the appropriate level of care. To assist you in your work, you will have a symptom-based decision support system where you follow a well-structured conversation process. In the conversations, you can also connect via video or receive images sent to you, which facilitates the assessment.

The position involves working days, evenings, and weekends, and we work two weekends out of five. We work with a wish schedule that runs over 15 weeks, allowing you to influence your schedule. There is also the possibility to work only nights, where we have a fixed schedule. It is possible to work remotely from a home office. We care about providing you with a good work environment. There is no stress of not being able to keep up, not being enough, or not getting home when your shift ends.

It is important for us to create the best possible conditions for our nurses to feel secure in their roles; therefore, you will be offered continuous education with medical lectures every other week. As a new employee with us, you will be offered a comprehensive introduction program with both theoretical and practical training for four weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Additionally, it is a requirement for the position that you have previous experience working as a nurse, where we prefer that you have experience in making assessments. Since large parts of the work are performed digitally, good computer skills are also a prerequisite for the position.

You have a commitment and the ability to motivate and inspire your colleagues and to get everyone to work towards the common goals of the organization. Furthermore, you are guided by goal- and result-oriented thinking in your priorities and actions and have an easy time structuring your work. For this position, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

The management of Close Care and Health has existed since January 1, 2025. The management is responsible for grant-funded care activities within close care. This includes mobile teams and specialized palliative care, outpatient care within close care, acute care within close care, 1177 on the phone, and some region-wide functions. Furthermore, the management is responsible for the development and follow-up of the transition to close care in Region Skåne. The number of employees is expected to be around 1,000.
