Physiotherapist to the Rehabilitation Unit

The Rehabilitation Unit is responsible for the rehabilitation of patients admitted to municipal healthcare at home, in nursing homes, short-term units, and day activities within elderly care, disability, and social psychiatry. The operation is part of the care and welfare sector in Skövde municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of physiotherapist within municipal healthcare is independent and involves assessing, planning, organizing, and executing rehabilitation efforts, assistive device trials, and treatments for the patients you are responsible for.

The work is varied and requires you to be flexible and able to quickly prioritize when conditions change. Patient work can involve everything from making transfers work upon discharge from the hospital, training mobility, contributing to improving complex sitting, reducing pain, and maintaining respiratory function.

You are responsible for the patient's rehabilitation process together with the occupational therapist and participate in interdisciplinary teams with occupational therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, care assessors, and unit managers. You also have close contact with relatives and are an important link between the patient and other caregivers. As a physiotherapist with us, you are responsible for guiding and delegating care and support staff. You are a support for other team members around the patient. Contributing to the improvement work of the organization is a natural task.

Solution-focused and unpretentious collaboration is a significant part of your role and a success factor in the assignment. You need to be able to work with both acute issues and long-term goals.

We work daytime on weekdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist who appreciates the breadth and variation within municipal healthcare. Experience from municipal rehabilitation or similar is an advantage.

You are a positive person with good communication skills who easily builds relationships with colleagues, patients, and relatives. You are confident and work independently, but also take responsibility in teamwork by collaborating in a solution-focused and unpretentious manner with other professions. You are flexible and have the ability to prioritize when needed. You master the Swedish language both in speech and writing. A B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is a requirement.
