The role of Quality Engineer – Project LeaderIn this role, you will focus on ensuring that customer requirements and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. You will be the key contact for the customer in quality matters and drive quality activities in projects, as well as coordinate cross-functional teams – all to deliver high-quality products and services. Another important part is dialogues with our customers and also being the company's representative during the introduction of new products. The role also involves some contacts with our colleagues, especially in Italy.
Examples of tasks:
· Conduct and participate in risk analyses and FMEA to identify and minimize quality risks
· Drive and follow up corrective and preventive actions
· Participate in and lead customer audits and quality meetings
· Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO9001, IATF 16949, or other customer-specific requirements
· Lead 8D analyses and root cause analyses for customer complaints
· Participate in supplier evaluations and approval processes
Who are we looking for?We see that our candidate has at least a bachelor's degree in quality or mechanical engineering or a similar field. You have experience in quality work within the industry as well as experience in project management and customer contact. The role requires a good understanding of quality standards such as ISO9001, IATF 16949, or similar. Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, and/or MSA is a requirement.
As a person, you are structured, meticulous, analytical, and solution-oriented. Since the role has many points of contact, it is important that you have the ability to build good relationships and communicate both in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You enjoy the mix of working independently as well as in a team. We also see it as important that you are proactive and initiative-driven in Cummins' quality and improvement work.
