Orkla Foods Sweden prepares food and beverages in Sweden with love and care for people, the sea, and the land.
We are a local community player, and with our 1500 employees, we make a difference and contribute to a more sustainable and healthy everyday life. About 90 percent of the food and beverages we sell in Sweden are prepared locally at one of our 7 facilities in Eslöv, Fågelmara, Kumla, Kungshamn, Tollarp, Vansbro, and Örebro. We lead the way in sustainable product development and innovation through our well-known brands such as Felix, Grandiosa, Abba, Kalles, BOB, Ekströms, Risifrutti, Önos, FUN Light, Anamma, Krögarklass, and Paulúns. We have a turnover of approximately 6 billion SEK and our headquarters is in Malmö. Our vision is to create “A better everyday life” by living up to our values – brave, reliable, and inspiring.
For our two facilities in Närke, we are now looking for a Supply Network Planner/Planning Manager, who has experience in supply chain work, enjoys working analytically, and is a driven leader passionate about improving processes and collaborating cross-functionally. Are you the one we are looking for?
About the role
As a Supply Network Planner/Planning Manager in Närke, you have a central role in steering and optimizing the production planning and inventory management of the facilities. You have personnel responsibility for a planning department of four employees, and you are responsible for planning and supply for 18 production lines. Together with your colleagues, you will be key players in the S&OP process, where you lead the Supply Review and provide analyses and recommendations to the management.
You are part of the management team for the Närke factories, where the work is characterized by collaboration and continuous improvements, and where you contribute both to the whole and with particular responsibility for Supply Planning. Your organizational affiliation is with OFS Supply Chain, where you are part of the central Supply Planning team and report to the Supply Planning Manager at the headquarters in Malmö. In the central team, you participate in the development of processes and system support and are part of an experienced team driven to work together to achieve success.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
- Lead planning at strategic, tactical, and operational levels to reduce total costs by optimizing production planning and inventory management with a focus on delivery reliability, productivity, and inventory costs, based on sales forecasts.
- Overall responsibility for Supply Planning at the Närke facilities, including personnel responsibility and management of the planning department's work as well as participation in the factory management team's work.
- Analyze and optimize planning parameters, monitor KPIs (inventory turnover, delivery reliability, waste, etc.) and drive improvement work in case of deviations.
- Lead Supply Review. Be proactive in the S&OP process focusing on capacity balancing analysis, scenario planning, and providing decision support to the management.
- Cross-functional and close collaboration with other functions such as Demand Planning, Production, Logistics, and Maintenance to ensure the overall flow and create good results.
Your qualifications
We prefer that you have:
- A degree in a relevant field, preferably supply chain, industrial economics, or another related area.
- Experience in Supply Planning and Supply Chain, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in formal leadership and good leadership qualities.
- Very good understanding of business systems (preferably SAP) and generally high system competence.
- Experience from the S&OP process.
It is highly meritorious if you have:
- A master's degree or another academic degree combined with experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience with advanced planning and optimization systems (preferably SAP IBP).
- Experience working in the food industry.
- Specialist knowledge in the planning area such as PLAN CPIM or APICS CSCP.
To succeed in this role, you need to be development-oriented and have strong analytical skills. This is reflected in how you analyze data, overview trends, handle rapid changes, and in your materials and solution recommendations to the management team. You should have a strong interest in process development and see systems/digital tools as a natural part of the improvement work. To thrive in the role, you are a good collaborator and have a strong ability to navigate between strategic, tactical, and operational issues where you contribute to successes both within the central organization of Supply Planning and locally at the factory level.
Your leadership qualities will be important for success in this role. As a leader, you need the ability to see both the whole and important details. You lead your group in a communicative, trusting, and inclusive manner while being clear in your expectations and systematic in following up on how the group delivers against set goals. In this, it is of course important that you have your own drive and feel confident in making decisions.
What can Orkla offer you?
