About the position

In the role of electrical engineer, you will be part of the maintenance team at Skebäcksverket's wastewater treatment plant. You will act as operational support with electrical work for the operation and be involved in the daily operation and maintenance of Skebäcksverket, as well as the municipality's smaller treatment plants and pumping stations. You will work with systematic maintenance of electrical installations and also install and maintain PLCs. In the job, you will perform I/O checks, install frequency converters, and also participate in troubleshooting and commissioning. Inventory and purchasing of electrical technology are also an important part of the job. You will work closely under our group manager, and your closest colleagues are team leaders, engineers, maintenance technicians, and operations technicians.

Examples of tasks:

Electrical installations
Responsible for electrical inspections and ongoing control of electrical installations
Connection of sensors, meters, and data devices in commonly used field buses
Handle electrical subscription bookings and service notifications for our facilities
Planning, follow-up, analysis, and development of electrical work.
Technical documentation of the work
Maintenance of electrical installations and contributing to updating electrical safety work
Support for electrical planning and maintenance issues in projects and assignments

About the workplace

Your workplace is at Skebäcksverket, Örebro's treatment plant, which is beautifully located adjacent to a nature reserve and a fantastic environment for walks. We are a team of about 30 employees who are proud of our fine treatment plant. Our operational area covers the entire municipality with 8 treatment plants and about 125 pumping stations. Within the Water and Sewage operations, you will have colleagues in many different roles, with a variety of tasks. Together, we ensure that the residents of Örebro receive clean drinking water from the tap, that we take care of and purify wastewater, maintain and expand the pipeline network, and develop water supply for the future through, for example, our newly built water reservoir Lyra. The mission of the Technical and Service Administration is to provide the residents of Örebro with good municipal technical service. The treatment plant is part of the Technical and Service Administration, where environmental requirements, good economy, and quality are cornerstones of our operations. The administration is responsible for streets, roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parking monitoring, traffic, squares, parks, and green areas, water and sewage, waste, gas networks, and biogas production, the municipality's vehicles, and internal mail handling.

Qualifications

As a person, you are confident in your role and competence, and you are self-sufficient in electrical installation and automation work. It is important that you collaborate well with others and have good communication skills. You master the Swedish language and express yourself well in speech, writing, and documentation. Furthermore, you have the ability to see the big picture in the operation and work with a focus on quality and sustainability.

Requirements:

Degree in electrical engineering at the university level or vocational training in electrical installation or automation and/or significant work experience
Authorization for electrical installation work
B driver's license manual transmission

Meritorious:

Programming control systems PLC: ABB or equivalent
Automation technology
Experience with maintenance systems for the electrical industry
Training in electrical maintenance
Experience with SCADA systems
