Centralskolan is a smaller school unit where students from Bosgårdsskolan's preschool class and grade 1 are temporarily housed. Here, we also have our after-school program where our students gather in the morning and afternoon. The after-school program is organized into three departments with a total of about 100 children. In the surrounding area, there is a large playground, a natural area, and a spacious schoolyard with both paved and green areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with other after-school staff, you will work in the educational after-school program to inspire and motivate children to learn, both in the after-school program and in school. You will do this by collaboratively planning activities that spark curiosity and motivate the development of factual knowledge as well as social skills.

Your responsibilities also include planning and leading break activities and being available as a resource in the classroom during the school day.

The working hours will be scheduled for 5 days/week, and the position is temporary from 2025-08-04 to 2025-12-31.

As a teacher in the after-school program with us in Varberg Municipality, you play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for the students. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you provide students with the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creation, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the after-school program based on your choices of educational and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and circumstances. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license qualified to teach in after-school programs.

With a holistic view of learning and teaching, you see the opportunities to support students' development throughout the school day and create a cohesive thread between school and after-school programs.

As an after-school teacher, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific grounding with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
