About Us

The Physiotherapy Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset provides rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. We are now looking for a physiotherapist for the infection and lung department, which is one of our inpatient wards. Working in inpatient care is rewarding but can also be demanding as we are an important piece of the discharge process. The physiotherapy group operates from shared facilities with occupational therapists and rehabilitation assistants, ensuring that colleagues are always nearby for questions, reflection, assistance, or support in daily work.

Your Responsibilities

As soon as a patient is admitted to the ward, the discharge process begins. Sometimes only medical needs need to be addressed, but often a physiotherapeutic assessment and intervention are also required. You will work from our facilities where paramedicine inpatient care is centralized, but your base placement will be in the infection and lung department where you will meet patients to assess their need for rehabilitative interventions and assistive devices.

You will work independently and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured manner. At the same time, you will collaborate closely with occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, the ward team, patients and their relatives, as well as other healthcare providers. We support each other across departmental boundaries within what are called coverage groups, which means you will have the opportunity to gain insight into and experience working in other departments than your base placement. In coverage group 3, which includes the Infection and Lung department, there are also SSIH, oncology, nephrology, medicine, and geriatric departments.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed physiotherapist. Since home visits may occur, a valid driver's license (B) is desirable. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
