Platform Specialist at the Swedish Agency for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning

Are you a system developer with experience in creating robust and scalable platform solutions? Do you want to help shape our system development and work with technology related to total defense? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

We are now looking for a platform specialist to join our team at the headquarters in Karlstad.

As a platform specialist, you will play a central role in designing, developing, and optimizing our technical platforms. You will work closely with others in IT, such as architects and developers, to ensure that our platforms are both efficient and scalable.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of platform specialist, you will develop and manage our container platform, as well as develop and manage our CI/CD environment.

Your role will also include:

• supporting our development teams
• participating in team decisions and learning as well as sharing knowledge within the team
• coming up with ideas, monitoring the environment, and ensuring that we work proactively in our development efforts

Your Qualifications

As a platform specialist, you should have a university or college degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent qualifications acquired in another way.

You should also have:

• at least 1 year of professional experience working as a platform specialist, or equivalent, for container platforms
• experience documenting solutions in a systematic way
• a good understanding of how container platforms are built and function
• a good understanding of lifecycle management of components in a container platform
• the ability to communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

• have worked with CI/CD environments
• have experience with SUSE Rancher
• have experience working according to GitOps

The position is security classified, and we will therefore conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a military position.
