JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a curator in Malung-Sälen Municipality, you will be part of a team of several curators in the central student health services. The student health services include medical, psychological, psychosocial, and special educational interventions and primarily work in a health-promoting and preventive manner.

The competence of the student health services and interdisciplinary collaboration is of great importance for teachers and other school staff to receive support early in adapting the operations to the needs of the students. The main task is to support students' development towards the goals of education.

You contribute the psychosocial perspective in the work of supporting students' knowledge development. In practice, this means that you provide psychosocial knowledge regarding early and adequate support measures at the individual, group, and school level.

As a curator with us, you are an expert in the school regarding social work and social legislation. The work includes contributing to a holistic view, both in individual student work and in the overall preventive work. The curator role places high demands on independence. In your professional role, you will be a hub in the school's preventive and health-promoting work. You will belong to the central student health services and will work with students individually, in groups, and classes, as well as with advisory and supportive measures.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, and previous experience working as a school curator is advantageous.

You have a great ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You have excellent collaboration skills. You are engaged, solution-focused, and see opportunities based on given conditions. You have the ability and desire to influence our school culture and to be involved in developing the school's student health work.

The position requires you to be flexible based on the needs of the operation. You can make professional assessments and can independently or in collaboration with others plan and implement measures. We would like you to enjoy change and development. You are expected to take independent responsibility for your own professional work. The work also requires that you, as a school curator, take responsibility for maintaining and deepening your professional competence and your knowledge of the surrounding world.
