Medical Secretary at the Psychiatric Clinic in Skellefteå

Within the health and medical care administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into county and local healthcare areas. The local healthcare area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, as well as primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

The Psychiatric Clinic consists of approximately 250 employees. Both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as psychiatric compulsory care, are provided here. We have two general psychiatric wards and one addiction ward. The outpatient care includes, among other things, two adult outpatient clinics, a clinic for young adults, an addiction clinic, an emergency and assessment unit, and other specialized outpatient units.

The Young Adults clinic works with the target group aged 18-25 years. Our team consists of caregivers, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, doctors, social workers, and secretaries. We work with patients in need of interventions at the specialist psychiatric level and also have a mandate to work with addiction/dependency. We perform various types of treatments, assessments, and investigations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary with us, you provide important service and enable interventions that affect many.

We work in teams where the job is varied, including writing medical records, registering referrals, reception work, scheduling appointments, providing phone service to patients and other healthcare units, as well as administrative and development work. You will be offered a varied job where you become an important part of our operations and can make a difference. Work is conducted on weekdays during daytime hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be an educated medical secretary or alternatively a healthcare administrator.

We are looking for someone who is attentive, observant, meticulous, creative, service-oriented, and appreciates the value of good collaboration, as well as actively contributes to this. You need to be good at taking your own initiatives and enjoy working with a wide range of tasks and in collaboration with many different professional categories. You should express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
