IT Project Manager at Swerim

We at the metallurgical research institute Swerim are now looking for a driven IT Project Manager who wants to lead our digitalization journey forward. We offer an exciting and operationally close role where you will work on projects from idea to implementation and management.

Swerim conducts industry-related research and development within the metal industry – from raw materials to finished products. We are about 200 employees with operations in Luleå and Stockholm. About the role

As an IT Project Manager, you will play an important role in our digitalization journey, being part of the IT department and reporting to the IT manager. You will work closely with the business to drive and develop our IT systems, processes, and ways of working. The position is based in our office in Stockholm or Luleå, with the possibility to work remotely a few days a week.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in IT projects and initiatives based on business needs.
• Manage and develop system support, processes, and ways of working.
• Monitor trends in IT, including information security and technical development.
• Plan and develop Swerim's systematic information security work.
• Drive change initiatives and ensure a smooth transition for new IT initiatives.

About you

We are looking for someone with a degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, as well as experience in IT project management. You have a broad understanding of IT and its significance in the business, without necessarily being a technical specialist. Experience in information security work is a plus.

You are curious about new technology and look forward to developing together with us. With your structured approach, you have a strong ability to plan, execute, and follow up on projects, while your analytical skills help you identify opportunities and manage challenges. You thrive in collaborations, and your communication skills enable you to lead and drive change initiatives in an engaging and effective way.

You are fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
