Service Designer with a focus on UX & UI Design

RaySearch develops innovative software solutions to improve cancer care. About 1000 clinics in more than 40 countries use RaySearch software to enhance treatments and quality of life for patients. RaySearch was founded in 2000 and is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. The headquarters is located in Stockholm, with subsidiaries in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia & New Zealand. Today we are more than 400 employees with a common vision of improving cancer care with innovative software. Our great staff is crucial for our success, and we offer a fantastic working environment in modern offices, flexibility, and good opportunities for development. We believe in equal opportunities, value diversity, and actively work to prevent discrimination.

The UX team is growing, and we are now looking for a Service Designer with a strong focus on UX & UI Design—someone who can work across the full spectrum of service design, from high-level system thinking to detailed interaction flows and UI components. If you are passionate about turning complexity into clarity and designing seamless user experiences in healthcare, this is your chance to make a difference.

About the role

As a Service Designer at RaySearch Laboratories, you will work at both a strategic and operational level, shaping the way our oncology software supports clinicians and hospitals worldwide. You will be responsible for mapping end-to-end service ecosystems, designing user interactions at different levels, and ensuring that our solutions meet real-world clinical needs.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a complex and regulated domain and is comfortable navigating both the big picture and the fine details—from conceptualizing hospital-wide oncology information systems to designing precise UI components and workflows for clinicians.

You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team of UX designers, clinical specialists, developers, and product managers, working towards a harmonized user experience across multiple products.

Responsibilities

  • Product & Service Design
    • Design workflows and UI for complex healthcare systems, ensuring smooth integration across services and roles.
    • Create blueprints, user journeys, and modular solutions that scale across hospital environments.
    • Identify gaps and propose innovative improvements based on user insights and system-level thinking.
  • UX Design & Prototyping
    • Translate concepts into intuitive, testable experiences through user flows and prototypes.
    • Collaborate with clinicians and stakeholders to define and validate role-specific interactions.
    • Evolve UI components in alignment with our design system and real-world use.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with developers, product managers, and regulatory teams to ensure quality and compliance.
    • Drive co-creation and ensure research insights lead to actionable product improvements.
    • Promote user-centered methods and align teams around shared design goals.

What you´ll bring

  • Experience & Expertise
    • 7+ years in UX and service design, with a strong portfolio showing both strategy and craft.
    • Proven ability to design at system level and down to detailed UI and workflow interactions.
  • Tools & Methods
    • Proficient in Figma, prototyping, and data-driven UX processes.
    • Experience with user research and testing tools.
  • Mindset
    • Strategic yet hands-on—drives progress while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
    • Curious, collaborative, and impact-driven—passionate about improving healthcare outcomes.
  • Meriting
    • Experience from regulated domains like healthcare, medtech, or finance.
    • Interest in AI-powered design and scalable design solutions.
