Do you want to work as a nurse in a department that offers great opportunities for development and education? Then this is the position for you! We are looking for an engaged and curious nurse to join our dynamic team in our orthopedic department.

You will work in an organization with short decision-making paths and present leadership. Furthermore, there is close cooperation with both internal and external actors. The department belongs to the area of planned operations and primarily deals with elective surgery.

The orthopedic department at the Hospital in Trelleborg operates around the clock with orthopedic pre- and postoperative care. We have a close collaboration with both the Recovery Unit and the Orthopedic Clinic, all to optimize our joint care of the patient. The clinic handles surgical planning, admission for surgery, and new and follow-up visits. We are very caring for our patients and work with the patient's needs in focus.

During the day, there is an operations manager responsible for telephony, orders, and other coordination in the department. We have a quality responsible nurse whose task is to identify competence development needs and then plan, implement, and follow up on competence development for nurses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work in a team with several different professional categories and be responsible for the nursing tasks that occur in a surgical care department. This includes working with pre- and postoperative care. Many patients treated with us also have internal medical conditions, which allows you to develop a broad competence. There is also the opportunity to work in our orthopedic clinic. In addition to direct patient care, all employees are involved in developing and improving the care of our patients.

The position involves day and evening work as well as some weekend shifts, two out of six weekends. A wish schedule is applied in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required.
