Social Worker Needed for Summer Temporary Position

The mission of the Social Services is to provide the right intervention to the right person at the right time and at the right cost. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Authority consists of 21 social workers.

We are now looking for social workers for temporary summer positions during June, July, and August.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Authority, you will work with clients aged 18 and older. Your tasks will include assessing needs and making decisions about interventions in the form of support, care/treatment, and housing based on legislation according to SoL, LVM, and LVU.

The interventions should be carried out in collaboration with the individual to find solutions based on their needs. As a social worker, you will also be responsible for following up on granted assistance. The role also includes support and motivational work as well as collaboration with healthcare providers, authorities, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is currently studying or has completed a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Basic computer skills are a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in authority work according to the Social Services Act, LVM, and/or LVU.
• Experience working with the target group of adults with addiction, mental health issues, or homelessness.
• Familiarity with the operational support systems Treserva and Procapita.

As a person, you are structured and can independently plan your work. You also have good collaboration skills. It is important that you have a holistic view and focus on the individual's needs. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You also have a genuine interest in people.

Since the job may involve driving, you must have a B driver's license to work with us.
