The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the preschool board and the primary school board. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important mission is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Now, the student health services in Huddinge are being strengthened with additional psychologist positions. As a psychologist with us, you will be one of 16 skilled psychologists working within Huddinge Municipality's primary and secondary schools. You will be centrally employed in the unit for psychological interventions, but much of the work will be conducted at the school units where you are the responsible psychologist.

The tasks are varied, and you will work health-promoting, preventive, and remedial. With us, you will work independently with the opportunity to influence while being offered substantial professional support. This includes continuous professional meetings, access to materials and method documents, collegial supervision, external supervision, and mentorship for new employees.

As a school psychologist, you will participate in the student health team's work alongside the principal and other professionals in the student health team. As part of the school's student health team, you are expected to:

• Provide psychological expertise to support pedagogical work and the overall planning of student health services.
• Contribute psychological knowledge about protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, e.g., through training initiatives.
• Provide knowledge about neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities.
• Offer guidance and consultation to school staff.
• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of students to identify and understand barriers to learning.
• Participate in various types of discussions/consultations with students, guardians, and educators.
• Collaborate with other agencies, such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, habilitation centers for children, and more.
• Provide expertise and support in crisis management.

Your Profile
We are looking for a licensed psychologist, preferably with experience working with children and youth. It is advantageous if you have experience in assessments and conducting supervision, consultation, and training initiatives. As a person, you are secure, reliable, and social. You can work independently while valuing collegial exchange. You have a good ability and interest in collaborating with other professional categories. You are relationship-building, trustworthy, and good at establishing trusting relationships with students, guardians, and other staff. You contribute structure, problem analysis, and a holistic view. You take initiative, are flexible, and can communicate easily in both spoken and written forms. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
