HOME CARE SERVICE

We are looking for individuals interested in working with people who have memory disorders (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as we only have such clients in our home care service (the clients are not aggressive or dangerous).

The organization offers three different service arrangements this summer.

Please specify in your application which position you are interested in and how and how much you can work.

Feel free to reach out with questions regarding start and end dates, and we will respond.

Position for fixed schedule:

Daytime: Rolling four-week schedule at 100% (with every other week including weekend work). You will have a fixed schedule to follow from approximately June to August. It is also possible to start before June and continue working in the organization after August. This arrangement requires that you are available throughout the entire period you can work, meaning you cannot take any vacation weeks yourself as you will be a substitute for the regular staff who are on vacation. Working hours: 07:30-16:30

Evening: Rolling four-week schedule at 84.12%. There are approximately 19 shifts per month. Working hours: 15:00-22:00

Book individual shifts: If you are not available to work all summer, you can book individual shifts. A requirement is that you can work at least 3 shifts per week as our clients need continuity. Depending on available shifts, you can work both day, evening, weekdays, and weekends based on what works for you. It is also possible to start before June and continue working in the organization after August.

Salary: Based on the organization's collective agreement (Almega Vårdföretagarna)

Introduction and supervision

You will receive an introduction before you start working independently, and there is always a team leader available during the day at the organization's location who can provide you with guidance and support while you work. You will also continuously report during your shift to the team leaders if anything deviates with the client or in the schedule.

To work in the organization, you must:

- have an interest in working with people who have various dementia diseases or mental health issues

- be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will be visiting clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you will need to document in journals and read instructions.

- be social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach

- manage stress and be able to plan and structure your work

- have good local knowledge of inner Stockholm as you will be getting around using public transport or walking. If you are not familiar with Stockholm, you need to feel secure navigating new areas.

Please note that we place great importance on personal suitability such as knowledge, interest, initiative, communication/interaction, and personality traits.

Job responsibilities

You will follow a service schedule and visit clients in their own homes to perform the services that clients have been approved for according to the assistance decision. The decision includes, among other things, taking care of general hygiene and personal hygiene, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, shopping, accompanying clients to various institutions, and walking. We work a lot with motivation to be able to perform the services and use various working methods as aids.

We have team leaders and administrators who staff the office during the day to whom you can turn for support in your daily work.

Who are we

Stockholm's Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that provides services in the client's own home. The organization also provides escort services, respite care, and housing support.

The organization consists solely of two large teams, and you can work in both depending on your interests and competencies:

Dementia Team focuses on clients with dementia diseases where the severity varies.

Special Team focuses on mental health issues, ongoing substance abuse, and also includes housing support.

We work with the time reporting system Paragå where employees log in and out of each client visit using mobile phones, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.

Where are we and how do you get around to the clients

We have clients in 8 different districts, and you will start and end your shift from Södermalm where we have our office. You will get around to clients using public transport or by walking (the organization does not have cars). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
