Junior Doctor for Summer Temporary Position at SCÄ

We are now looking for a junior doctor for a summer temporary position with us at SCÄ, with the possibility of extension.

Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and receives patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we have over 250 employees, we have expanded significantly during 2024 and will continue to do so in 2025. From March 2025, all three of our inpatient care departments will be gathered at Danderyd Hospital while outpatient care remains in Södermalm, Stockholm.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who wants a stimulating job and to learn more about eating disorders. The tasks are varied as they involve assessment and treatment of moderate to severe eating disorders where both psychiatric and somatic focus is always present. As a junior doctor at SCÄ, you will have the opportunity to learn about the different levels of care in the organization, including outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care, and work with both children and young people as well as adult patients. You will be offered supervision by a specialist. Placement in a specific unit will be based on needs that may vary over time.

Your role will involve having continuous conversations with patients regarding somatic checks and medication follow-ups. The tasks are varied as they involve assessment and treatment of moderate to very severe eating disorders where both psychiatric and somatic focus is always present.

Employment Type:

Temporary position with the possibility of extension. Full-time, 40 hours/week. You will be part of our day duty line. We hope you can start before and work during most of the summer weeks (weeks 25-32) in 2025.

Qualifications:

You are a trained doctor, and if you are also licensed, this is considered an advantage. Alternatively, you are in training and have completed at least term 9 of the medical program. Evidence-based care, research, and development are important to you, as is patient safety. If you have experience with patients with eating disorders and working in the Take Care journal system, this is an advantage. We also appreciate knowledge of CBT-E, MANTRA, and/or SSCM.
