Building Manager/Project Leader for the Building Team

Do you want to work with sustainable management and development of buildings in a dynamic city? The Property and Street Office's unit for land and building management is now looking for a committed building manager/project leader for the building team.

Job Responsibilities

As a manager and project leader, you are responsible for ensuring sustainable and responsible management and development of the property and street office's building stock. You work with both operations and maintenance and drive investment projects within the unit's area of activity.

Your main tasks include:

  • Ensuring that we meet the property owner's responsibilities and that regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
  • Status inspections and preparation and updating of maintenance plans. Ordering measures, supervision, testing, control, and inspection. The tasks include making direct procurements and placing orders from framework agreements.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for effective building management.
  • Project leading investment projects by planning, leading, following up, and administering both individual projects and the unit's so-called collection projects. The collection projects also include coordination of several sub-project leaders.
  • Invoice control, follow-up, dialogue with contractual partners, and handling customer matters.
  • Conducting self-checks and participating in operational planning and budgeting for measures, updating the FGK map with incoming and outgoing buildings. If necessary, develop and document routines.

The buildings managed by the team range from culturally historical buildings to commercial premises and infrastructure such as city tunnel stations and bicycle garages.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree of at least 180 credits in construction and civil engineering with a focus on building management or another education that we consider relevant for the position.

Furthermore, you need to have at least 5 years of experience working as a building manager. You should have experience in maintenance planning, project management, be accustomed to working administratively with documentation, and have good knowledge of building legislation and the property owner's responsibilities.

In the role, it is crucial to independently take responsibility for tasks and drive processes forward with a structured and goal-oriented approach. The ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work ensures that set goals are achieved within given time frames.

The ability to see the big picture and weigh different perspectives is central to ensuring that decisions are not only quick but also long-term sustainable and aligned with the organization's goals.

For the position, it is required that you have a B driver's license, preferably for manual transmission cars, as some of your tasks involve site visits.
