Your role and responsibilities
We need more people who are passionate about technology and solution-oriented, who love solving our customers' technical problems, and who are eager to learn and grow alongside colleagues and customers! Therefore, we are now looking for someone who is passionate about automation, where you will work with project managers and other engineering colleagues on automation projects for our customers in the Swedish process industry, primarily in the pharmaceutical sector.
The projects are of high technical complexity where ABB's market-leading DCS platform System 800xA is used to control processes with tailored solutions. We apply concepts based on the system's batch functionality, from the design phase to commissioning and follow-up on-site with our customers.
You will work with the latest technology and with both breadth and depth in tasks, you will find a dynamic environment where each project opens up new learnings, contacts, and innovations. We are located in several places working together and are now looking for several automation engineers based in Malmö. We are seeking everyone from recent graduates to experienced automation engineers who can take leading roles in large projects.
- You will participate in delivery projects alongside the project team and be involved in all phases of the project from sales support and idea to commissioning and after-sales support.
- Your tasks include, for example, developing functional specifications, system setup, system integration, programming, and verification/validation in the form of testing with our customers in Life Science.
- You will ensure that the technical solution is developed in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements with the right quality and according to the timeline. If you have less experience, you will have time to grow into the responsibility.
- You will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers and can act independently in smaller projects.
- You will have close contact with our customers and participate in project and technical meetings as well as site visits.
- You will represent ABB and be a key player with our customers.
Qualifications for the role
• We are looking for both those with extensive experience in Life Science and process automation and those who are recent graduates with ambitions to grow in the field.
• We are looking for you who have an engineering degree, are a bachelor’s or master’s engineer.
• As a person, you are curious, goal-oriented, and communicative, putting the customer in focus and building relationships.
• You have programming experience and are interested in automation and control of industrial processes.
• It is advantageous if you have experience with System 800xA and batch functionality or DCS platforms from other manufacturers.
• You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
• You should have a B driver's license.
