Junior Land Negotiator for Malmö or Kristianstad

Job Responsibilities

As a junior land negotiator, you will grow into the role by initially supporting more experienced colleagues, as well as being independently responsible for smaller cases. The land negotiator is a specialist in land access issues in road and railway projects and assists the project manager throughout the planning process and construction phase. The tasks are varied and include, among other things:

  • negotiating compensation for the purchase of and intrusion on properties
  • drafting property law agreements
  • handling damage regulation/disputes
  • participating in planning and design work
  • representing Trafikverket in land surveying proceedings and other contacts with authorities and individual property owners

We work in a learning organization where we share our knowledge and experiences with each other to always develop and improve.

For us, it is obvious that you should get a good start to succeed in the role, you will have a mentor as support and be trained internally through a training package for land negotiators.

The work sometimes involves meetings outside of office hours, such as consultation meetings with the public, landowner meetings, and land surveying meetings.

It is important that you attach your degree certificate and course certificate with your application. If you are graduating in the spring of 2025, you need to supplement with your degree certificate no later than 4 months from the first employment date.

Estimated timeline for the recruitment process:

  • Advertising is ongoing until March 31
  • Web-based testing for candidates who meet the competency requirements during week 14
  • Selection and booking of interviews for candidates who proceed in the process during week 15
  • Interviews (via Skype) are scheduled for week 17

Do you wish to work partially remotely? In this position, you have the opportunity to have a dialogue with your manager about working from home or from another Trafikverket office on certain days.

In this recruitment, web-based tests are used as part of the selection process.

We apply a probationary employment of 6 months.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we see that you have good communication skills and find it easy to build relationships; this is important as you will have many contact points and collaborations both internally and externally. You enjoy working both independently and together with others in project form. You are analytical and have a good ability to structure and plan your work well to achieve results.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits obtained in 2023 or later in land surveying
  • has a driver's license for a manual transmission car
  • has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
