Assistant Chief Physician for Internal Medicine at Södertälje Hospital

Do you want to work in a broad area of operations that includes both geriatrics and internal medicine? We have recently merged and become one operational area, and our ambition moving forward is to utilize each other's expertise through training and collaboration between our geriatrics and internal medicine departments.

Being one operational area now gives us great opportunities for efficient patient flows and professional development.

Our operational area includes geriatric and internal medicine inpatient and outpatient care, as well as palliative inpatient care and ASIH. In our clinics, we investigate and treat the common major diseases such as cognitive impairment, osteoporosis, diabetes, stroke, and heart diseases. Our clinics also include a Diagnostic Center where patients with unknown primary tumors or nonspecific cancer symptoms are investigated, as well as a clinic for multimorbid elderly patients.

Internal Medicine at Södertälje Hospital is in an exciting phase of development where we aim to increase our cardiological and neurological outpatient care, implement Hospital at Home, and continue to develop new working methods. Therefore, we need you who have a strong commitment and who dares to think outside the box.

Your personal qualities:

You need to possess great personal maturity and be flexible, with a good ability to collaborate and show empathy, while also being quality-conscious and having a holistic view of both the patient and the organization.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Swedish medical license and specialist certificate in internal medicine.
  • At least three (3) years of combined full-time clinical service in internal medicine after obtaining specialist competence. A doctoral thesis and/or specialist exam can be credited for a total of six (6) months of clinical service.
  • Experience in a defined medical responsibility and knowledge area. Actively driven development and improvement work within the defined area.
  • Teaching and supervision experience. Documented supervisor training and at least 6 months of completed supervision.

Meritorious:

  • On-call competence.
  • Doctorate in medical science.

Employment form:

Permanent employment, full-time. On-call duty included.
