Due to retirement, we are seeking a driven and committed school nurse for our student health team at Norra Real for the autumn term of 2025.

Norra Real is an attractive high school in central Stockholm characterized by motivated students in a safe and inclusive learning environment. The school offers natural science, social science, and humanities programs. Within the natural science program, we offer both natural/natural, as well as profiles in research, mathematics, and environment. The humanities program is focused on culture. Within the social science program, there is, in addition to social studies, a profile in environment and sustainable development. The education aims to provide each student with the best possible conditions for successful higher education and active participation in society. We have about 1000 students and around 90 staff members. The student health team consists of a school nurse, two counselors, a special educator, and a study and career counselor. The student health team is a strategic and central resource for the entire school and is formally led by an assistant principal.

Job Description

As a school nurse at Norra Real, you will be part of a well-functioning student health team characterized by collaboration and strong commitment to our students. We work together and enrich each other's different professions and backgrounds to enhance the impact of our work towards students and the school's educational organization. Our focus is to continuously work preventively and health-promoting. As a school nurse, you will work both on an individual and group level with students, for example, individually in health conversations and out in classes to promote mental health. We strive to weave in strategic and long-term work, during so-called strategy days together, with our daily operational work. We see you and your competence as an important part of the joint and long-term development work.

Formally, the school nurse's mission is to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning in collaboration with the school management and other student health personnel based on their medical competence. Together with the school doctor and in consultation with the school management, you are responsible for the organization of the student health's medical interventions in the school according to applicable guidelines and instructions. The work involves collaboration with students, parents, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse with a specialist nursing education in Health and Medical Care for Children and Adolescents 60 credits. District nurse 75 credits or School Nurse Program at the University of Skövde 60 credits.

Public health science competence is meritorious. School nurses in the City of Stockholm document in Prorenata and should be able to work in basic computer programs and have experience with electronic health records. Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and training in conversation methodology is also meritorious.

Other

The position will be filled provided that the planned organization for the 2025/26 school year is approved and that it does not need to be filled by surplus staff.
