Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and help to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our operations include emergency and inpatient care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized care. We also conduct university healthcare, research, and education.

Ward 52

Ward 52, a department that provides advanced addiction care - both psychiatric and somatic, is part of Beroendecentrum Stockholm's Emergency and Inpatient Care and is located at S:t Göran's Hospital.

We are a specialized inpatient ward with 20 beds. Here, we care for patients over 18 years old (mainly men) who seek emergency care or are referred for withdrawal treatment, treatment of psychiatric and somatic conditions related to drugs and medications. Patients are cared for under various care forms, such as HSL, LPT, or LVM.

At Ward 52, a wonderful team of about 30 dedicated employees works together. We collaborate in care teams consisting of nurses, caregivers, and doctors. We now need more members in our team!

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you will work with psychiatric and somatic nursing tasks, monitoring vital parameters, documentation, wound care, EKG, venipuncture, monitoring withdrawal symptoms during tapering/stabilization, as well as providing support and conversation. The work on the ward involves an exciting mix of somatic and psychiatric emergency care. You will have a significant level of personal responsibility in your work and close collaboration with doctors and nurses. Personal Attributes

We are now looking for engaged nursing assistants who want to provide good and safe care and support to individuals with addiction. You should have an interest in our patient group and in working with both psychiatric and somatic care. Our patients are in difficult, vulnerable situations, and you are expected to provide each patient with a good reception in a professional manner. It is important that you can quickly adapt and handle acute situations and manage stress constructively. You should be a practical and solution-focused person. You naturally work with the patient in focus and patient safety, and you are clear, communicative, and meticulous. You are also responsible, unpretentious, and enjoy working together in a team. For us, it is important that you contribute to a good working atmosphere and believe that job satisfaction is an important part of the workday.

Qualifications

A qualified nursing assistant is required. Experience in addiction care, emergency psychiatry, and/or emergency reception is meritorious. Knowledge of TakeCare and LifeCare is a plus.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment. Full-time day/evening: 37 hours/week, or part-time by agreement. We work two weekends out of five.

Selection and interviews are conducted continuously. Start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applied.
