We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in elderly people and wants to contribute to a sustainable work environment and create the best accommodation and care. Here you will have good working hours, work independently, and have the freedom to plan your workdays. Employment rate between 60-100% according to agreement. Here are some highlights of our offer to you:

  • Good schedule and working hours: daytime, shifts vary between 07:00 to 17:00,
  • weekends 07:30-16:00, every 4th weekend

  • Competence development: You have access to Vardaga's internal training organization Lära with a variety of courses. You also have the opportunity to apply for a training position to become a specialist nurse.

  • Good management and short decision-making paths: Your manager is close at hand for support and to bounce ideas. One of the residence's nurses is also always part of the local management team.

About the role

You are the spider in the web regarding the residents' health and medical care efforts and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical prescriptions are followed. Regularly, you conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in the operations.

Collaboration and support

You are part of a team with care staff, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. An important role for you is to coach and educate the care staff so that together you provide each resident with the best possible life.

We invest in leadership development for you as a nurse. A course we can offer you is “Leading without being a manager.”

Clear routines

To create security and clarity for you as a nurse, there is extensive support in the form of practical and easily applicable routines, governing documents, and checklists. As a new nurse with us, you will participate in our digital introduction program together with your mentor to ensure that you receive a clear introduction with the goal of quickly getting into the work and our routines.

About Villa Båthöjden

With a view of forests and nature in beautiful Nacka lies Villa Båthöjden. Here we have 56 places divided into 6 departments, of which 5 are dementia departments and one is a somatic department. The proximity to nature is palpable and an important part of our work. The nursing home in the fantastic premises was inaugurated in March 2011. In the planning of Båthöjden, the latest research on aging and age-related diseases is used. The building is therefore designed with space and beautiful materials to contribute to a sense of freedom, alongside the need for framing and clarity for people with dementia. Public transport: Buses depart from Slussen and Nacka Forum. For those who drive, there is free parking available.

Dementia certification We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that all of us who work here are trained in dementia and interaction through Dementia Academy (https://www.vardaga.se/var-aldreomsorg/demens/).

Animals in care Here we work with animals in care.

Your experience and knowledge

You are a licensed nurse, and we prefer that you have worked a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-sick, and this requires that you have both comprehensive knowledge of various diseases and conditions as well as an interest in the aging person. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
