We treat all types of infectious diseases, and our patients mainly come via the SÖS emergency department or from medical intensive care.

The Infectious Disease Clinic has 36 beds distributed across wards 8 and 10. The wards are new and fresh, with only single rooms, and on ward 8, we have the ability to receive airborne infections as we have rooms with airlocks and separate entrances from outside.

To maintain stability and a safe working environment, we prioritize professional development across all job categories. There is an opportunity for paid specialist training for nurses. We strive for our doctors to lecture the nursing staff every week. The wards have nursing leaders, unit leaders, care developers, and specialist nurses who are present daily in clinical work. There is also a dedicated pharmacist on the ward to support the significant medication management and preparation required for infections.

There is shared leadership, and a staffing assistant is available full-time.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse here, you will work three shifts with individual schedule planning. There is an option to work only nights! We have a day care service, and there is an opportunity to rotate between the ward and day care.

In the past year, we have initiated several collaborative projects to provide our inpatient patients with the best possible care and simplify care transitions. We have increased our collaboration with Ersta Geriatrics and initiated the “OPAT project,” where patients needing intravenous antibiotics at home can receive them through our ASIH partners.

Our clinic is well-staffed, has a good and unpretentious work climate, and is moving forward. We are in a dynamic period focusing on operational development and aiming high regarding both work environment and patient safety.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is humble, has the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation, and has a respectful approach. You are also interested in contributing your knowledge and enthusiasm, taking your own initiatives, and seeing opportunities for development within the organization. You can combine independent work with a good ability to collaborate. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. You set and adhere to deadlines. You are interested in acute care and infectious diseases and want to develop and learn new things.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Competence Requirements

• Licensed nurse
• Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1
