Stockholms Sjukhem offers inpatient specialized rehabilitation (neurological and surgical) in Kungsholmen, as well as rehabilitation for spinal cord injured patients. We now need another occupational therapist for our operations. Care is provided in multidisciplinary teams, where we work closely with both patients and their relatives. Through collaboration, we develop ambitious, qualitative, and sustainable rehabilitation efforts with the individual in focus.

We are centrally located in Kungsholmen, Stockholm.

About the Role of Occupational Therapist

The tasks consist of usual duties as an occupational therapist on a ward and mainly include:

• Assessment and mapping of activity and functional ability as well as follow-up.
• ADL assessment and training.
• Trial and prescription of assistive devices.
• If necessary, the occupational therapist and physiotherapist make home visits together as part of discharge planning.

We work in a team-based manner, and in addition to contact with other occupational therapists, you have support from your other colleagues in the team such as physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, speech therapists, rehabilitation assistants, psychologists, and nursing staff (nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, discharge coordinators). We work with the TakeCare journal system.

The tasks also include supervision of students.

The position is a fixed-term employment of 6 months, full-time with weekend duty. We apply individual salary setting and have flexible agreements. There may be an opportunity for extension.

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist; it is advantageous if you have experience in both neurological rehabilitation and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Your personal qualities are important to us. We want you to be communicative, maintain a high level of service, and be unpretentious in your approach to the world. You contribute with your skills, experience, and commitment to the improvement and development work of the organization. You appreciate variation and the ability to switch between a team-oriented and individual working approach. The position requires that you master the Swedish language fluently in both speech and writing and have good computer skills.
