Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and help to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our services include acute and inpatient care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized treatment. We also conduct university healthcare, research, and education.

The northern region's outpatient care consists of 10 clinics.

We accept patients with harmful use and/or dependence on alcohol, drugs, medications, and gambling.

At the Magnus Huss addiction clinic, a multidisciplinary and cohesive team of nurses, doctors, medical secretaries, unit managers, and psychologists work together. The clinic collaborates with social services, psychiatry, primary care, and other healthcare providers and is part of the care chain with Beroendecentrum's inpatient care and Maria Ungdom. The work is carried out in close cooperation with other Beroendecentrum activities.

Job Responsibilities:

The work consists of outpatient work involving assessments, investigations, and treatment of patients' addiction-related issues. The role of the specialist physician entails medical responsibility for the clinic, including the implementation and development of evidence-based methods.

We encourage and support research work in the field of addiction.

Employment Type:

Permanent position. Full-time 40 hours/week, daytime Monday-Friday. As agreed.

Qualifications:

Licensed physician with specialist competence in general psychiatry. Experience in addiction care is desirable.

Personal Attributes:

The position requires both the ability to take initiative and to work independently. Good judgment, teamwork skills, and an interest in developing common care and treatment strategies for the patient group are also essential.
