Position Offered

We are looking for someone to work as a Security Officer at Uppland Air Force Wing (F16) facility in Hästveda. F 16 is one of the Swedish Armed Forces' newest units. The main tasks are operational readiness and training of conscripts. The 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion operates around the clock, year-round, at several locations in Sweden. The battalion monitors and defends Swedish airspace by producing and distributing authorized air status, directing air combat forces, and coordinating air combat operations.

About the Unit

1617. The Headquarters Company belongs to the 161st Air Defense Battalion and operates at one of the Armed Forces' mountain facilities in Hässleholm.

Main Responsibilities

As a security officer, you will work within the unit's security organization and participate in security reporting, security investigations, handle access matters, and issues related to alarm and access control systems as well as IT security matters. You will also support the signals protection chief in the signals protection work at the unit. Varied working hours, weekend work, and participation in exercises may occur.

Qualifications

• Approved upper secondary education or equivalent.
• Swedish language proficiency in speech and writing.
• Driving license B.

We are looking for someone with high social competence who enjoys working with others. You have good collaboration skills, high stress tolerance, and the ability to work independently. You take initiative within the framework of your work, are resourceful, and flexible.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

• Trained Security Officer in the Armed Forces.
• Previous service in the Armed Forces with similar tasks.
• Signals protection training in the Armed Forces.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and handling of IT systems in the Armed Forces.

Uppland Air Force Wing, F 16, is headquartered at Uppsala garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and monitoring of Uppsala Airport as well as training conscripts in various positions within the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which directs combat aircraft in the air and manages the constant surveillance of Swedish airspace.
