We need to temporarily strengthen our staff at Österlenbadet.

Österlenbadet is located in central Tomelilla, in close proximity to the municipality's middle school.

At Österlenbadet, guests can enjoy a 25-meter pool, children's pool, a combined pool with warmer water, a hot tub, dry sauna, steam sauna, and cold water bath. We offer our visitors morning swimming, regular water aerobics, and Hydrohex water aerobics with video instructions. We have a variety of activities such as swimming schools from baby to adult, school swimming, water aerobics, children's parties, and aufguss.

Österlenbadet's Café is open for visitors who are craving coffee, cake, or a light meal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a lifeguard, you, along with your colleagues, are responsible for ensuring that visitors have a good time and enjoy their visit to the swimming hall. Job responsibilities include monitoring pools to maintain safety, serving guests, and assisting by answering guests' questions.

Your tasks also include keeping the facility clean and tidy and managing daily routines, for example, during opening and closing.

The employee will also participate in tasks such as group training sessions in water and swimming school. Other tasks within recreational activities may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome both those with previous experience as lifeguards and those who are ready for new challenges.

To thrive in the role of lifeguard with us, it is important that you are confident in yourself and enjoy working with other people. With us, you will become part of a community and meet both colleagues and visitors daily. You enjoy and find it easy to guide and serve the guests. As a person, we would like you to have a strong sense of service and be engaged in your work.

To be considered for the position of lifeguard, you must pass the Guldbojen, which is the swimming test we conduct before employment. The swimming test assesses your skills in swimming, towing, and lifesaving.

If you have previous experience as a lifeguard or swimming instructor, completed a lifeguard course, or have equivalent training in the field, or have documented knowledge in lifesaving, we consider this an advantage.

Since communication with visitors and colleagues is a significant part of the role, it is a requirement to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

A valid extract from the police criminal record is required for employment as a lifeguard.

To work as a lifeguard in Tomelilla municipality, you must be at least 18 years old.
